What is Eucharistic Adoration?
The Eucharist, which is the Body of Jesus Christ, is placed in a monstrance, the gold vessel seen here. When we visit Jesus in this manner, we adore Him the way that Mary adored her baby. What do I do in adoration? You look at Jesus, and He looks at you! You can speak to Him freely in your heart, since you are present with Him. You can pray the rosary, read a spiritual book, journal, or just sit and enjoy your time with Jesus. This special moment is yours to do with what you want. Who can come to Adoration? Everyone! Adults and children, men and women, Catholics and non-Catholics can all enjoy the peace and grace of time spent with our Lord in Adoration. When do we have adoration at cccc? Wednesday beginning immediately after noon Mass until 7:30pm. How can I learn more? You can contact Jacques Bernard at 404-451-4352 or Donna Barr at dmtbarr@gmail.com for more information, and also for committing to an hour at Adoration at Corpus Christi. You can visit our lending library for resources on Eucharistic Adoration, or visit www.usccb.org/eucharist to read about the Holy Eucharist.

SEVEN SISTERS APOSTOLATE
This Apostolate is a call to strengthen the Church by ensuring that the Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest or bishop—a “holy wasting” (cf. Mt. 26:10) or lavishing of prayer for his deeper conformity to Christ. We are coming up on our one year anniversary. We are losing two prayer sisters so will need someone to take their place SOON for prayers on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you would like to join our prayer group, please contact Tracy Stefen at 912-433-9878.

Divine Mercy Devotion
Jesus said to St. Faustina that as often as you hear the clock strike the third hour, step into the chapel and immerse yourself completely in My mercy; adoring and glorifying it; invoke its omnipotence for the whole world, and particularly for poor sinners. (Diary 1572). The Lord’s Promise: “The souls that say this chaplet will be embraced by My mercy during their lifetime and especially at the hour of their death.” (Diary 754). Please, join us to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with Meditations on Christ’s Passion: Divine Mercy Devotion Date: First Wednesday of the month Time: 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm Place: Corpus Christi Catholic Church, during adoration. *Excerpts from the Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, Divine Mercy in My Soul, Marian Press, Stockbridge, MA, 2005.

04/02/2025
Dear Parishioners, Welcome to April and the Month of the Blessed Sacrament! I hope this season of Lent has been a meaningful one for you and your families and that you are strengthened in your commitments during these last few weeks. Here are a few events coming up that you may be interested in: Mass times for Holy Week are listed below. After Mass on Holy Thursday, the Blessed Sacrament is removed from the tabernacle and placed in a special “Altar of Repose.” It is a Catholic tradition to visit Jesus at seven different churches on that night as we spiritually keep Our Lord company in the Garden of Gethsemane. If you are interested in participating in the “Seven Church Pilgrimage,” a route will be posted in next week’s bulletin or you can pick one up in the narthex. This is an especially fun event for families or for a group of friends to do together. It will be a late night for sure, but it is a beautiful experience that only comes once a year! On Easter Sunday, April 20, we will have an Easter Egg Hunt after both Masses for the children. Please consider donating plastic eggs already filled with a treat inside, such as candy or a sticker. Any number you can donate will be appreciated. They can be placed in the blue buckets in the narthex and hallway. Thank you! Sunday, April 27 is Divine Mercy Sunday. There will be a Holy Hour here at Corpus Christi from 2:30 pm-3:30 pm. Please join us for Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Saturday, May 3 is the birthday of the “Millennial Saint,” Carlo Acutis. Carlo will be canonized on April 27. PACT Youth will host a birthday party for Carlo on May 3 after the 5:30pm Mass. Join us for a potluck dinner, documentary viewing, and kids’ activities. All are welcome! On a final note, our country designates the month of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. To learn more about how the Diocese of Savannah is protecting youth and vulnerable persons, visit www.diosav.org/en/child-and-youth-protection. Blessings, Renee Singleton Parish Life Coordinator
