Grab ‘N Go Chicken Dinner/Bake Sale
Grab ‘N Go Chicken Dinner Cook’s Night Off! There will be a chicken dinner packaged for carryout available on Friday, May 3rd, 5-7 pm. Tickets will be sold in the Narthex after all weekend Masses until sold-out. Menu is 2 pcs of chicken with lemon-pepper and rosemary seasoning, mac ‘n cheese, salad, roll, and brownie. Cost is $12 (prepaid sales only). All proceeds from this event will go to fund PACT (the new high school youth group in our parish) that is starting up in May. Bake Sale Calling all Bakers in the parish! Our new PACT Youth Group is having a bake sale fundraiser in the Narthex during pickup for the Grab ‘N Go Chicken Dinner on Friday, May 3rd. Baked items can be dropped off during the day on Friday, May 3rd, after 9 am. Youth group members will be helping with the sale and the dinner. Their first service project under PACT!

VIRTUS TRAINING
Virtus training is required of adult volunteers in the Catholic Diocese of Savannah. Training recommended for all adults, especially parents, grandparents, other relatives, and anyone who wants to learn to keep our community's children safe. May 8-Zoom 9am. Dear All! Last month, the Bishop asked me to shift my responsibilities at the Chancery. In 2014, I was appointed Chancellor, Vocation Director, and Assistant to the Bishop. In 2021, I shed the Bishop’s Assistant role; in 2023, I shed the Vocation Director role; and as of last month, I shed the role of Chancellor. I am now the Vicar for Mission Advancement. This role makes me the liaison between the Bishop and two departments in the Chancery, Communications and Development. I meet with the department heads weekly to work on projects, and ensure we are responding to needs throughout the diocese. This position also keeps me linked to the Bishop’s Office, which means doing occasional work directly for the Bishop and taking part in particular meetings or taskforces for the diocese. I have invited our Bishop to join us for our upcoming Parish feast day which this year falls on June 2nd. It is also his birthday! After 10:30am Mass, we will have a Eucharistic Procession around our property and then have lunch inside the church. We’ll have indoor and outdoor games and activities for the kids. Please put it on your calendar now so you can join in the celebration. More details will follow. This year the Catholic Church in the US is holding a Eucharistic Revival which will culminate on a Eucharistic Congress in July which will take place in Indianapolis. It will be great to celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi at our parish during a significant year of focus on the Eucharist. I also hope to hold some talks on the Eucharist following our feast day… more details to follow. May God bless each of you this week! Father Pablo
