About Us

Our History

Corpus Christi Catholic Church was created on June 15, 2016 by Bishop Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM, Conv. after a group of Catholics in Pooler, Georgia gathered for Mass at Saint Patrick Episcopal Church for over one year. For quite some time, there had been a need to establish a Parish in the westside of Chatham County. A Capital Campaign began soon after which raised over one million dollars, which led to the groundbreaking of our current Church in October 2017. On December 23, 2018, our Church was dedicated under the leadership of Father Thomas J. Murphy and Father Luis Fonseca.

As our Church was built brick by brick, we strive to build the Body of Christ one person at a time through the living of the Eucharist and the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are located by the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport, the Tanger Outlets, and I-95, so every weekend we welcome travelers as they journey to their destinations.

We continue to grow in faith and in numbers and celebrate the Lord alive and in our presence in the heart of Pooler, Georgia now under the leadership of Father Pablo Migone. Come join us!
