Catholic War Veterans
The Catholic War Veterans will be placing Memorial Crosses in the Catholic Cemetery to honor deceased Veterans. Crosses will remain in place through Memorial Day. A Memorial Service is planned for 6:00PM May 23, 2024, at the Cemetery. All are invited to attend the Service. Sponsored by: CATHOLIC WAR VETERANS, Post 1943, Savannah, GA. TAKE A BITE OUT OF OUR DEBT!
We have a new easy and enjoyable opportunity to pay down our parish debt. Corpus Christi is now enrolled in the Kroger (Grocery) Community Rewards Program. After enrolling our Kroger Shopping Rewards cards in this program, the parish will receive a 4% cash-back rebate of all total purchases. (It only takes a few minutes to enroll.) Kroger does limit our quarterly payment amount to $50,000, so eat, drink, and eat some more! See the bulletin insert for details.

Grab ‘N Go Chicken Dinner/Bake Sale
Grab ‘N Go Chicken Dinner Cook’s Night Off! There will be a chicken dinner packaged for carryout available on Friday, May 3rd, 5-7 pm. Tickets will be sold in the Narthex after all weekend Masses until sold-out. Menu is 2 pcs of chicken with lemon-pepper and rosemary seasoning, mac ‘n cheese, salad, roll, and brownie. Cost is $12 (prepaid sales only). All proceeds from this event will go to fund PACT (the new high school youth group in our parish) that is starting up in May. Bake Sale Calling all Bakers in the parish! Our new PACT Youth Group is having a bake sale fundraiser in the Narthex during pickup for the Grab ‘N Go Chicken Dinner on Friday, May 3rd. Baked items can be dropped off during the day on Friday, May 3rd, after 9 am. Youth group members will be helping with the sale and the dinner. Their first service project under PACT!

VIRTUS TRAINING
Virtus training is required of adult volunteers in the Catholic Diocese of Savannah. Training recommended for all adults, especially parents, grandparents, other relatives, and anyone who wants to learn to keep our community's children safe. May 8-Zoom 9am. _PARISH LIFE_____Dear Parish Family, Congratulations to those who are receiving the Holy Eucharist for the first time this Sunday! We pray the day is a special and holy one for all who receive. Thank you to the St. Dominic Circle and all who participated with the “Grab-n-Go Dinner” on Friday. Your support for our new youth ministry has been overwhelming, and on behalf of the teens of the parish and their families, I offer my sincerest gratitude. In our Catholic calendar, May is the Month of Mary. We will honor her in a special way at the First Communion Mass with a “May Crowning,” a beautiful tradition that you can continue in your home, as well. Simply make a small crown of pipe cleaners and ribbon for a statue of Mary in your home. While singing your favorite Marian hymn, have one member of the family place the crown on her head. Leave it there for the whole month as a reminder of the Month of Mary! Praying the rosary is another beautiful way to honor Our Lady. You can join a “Block Rosary” in your neighborhood once a week to pray with your neighbors. We also invite all children to participate in the “Spiritual Bouquet” in the narthex by praying a decade of the rosary and then adding a flower to the garden. More details about both can be found in the narthex or on our social media.
